It all starts with a good plan. Gather your team. The benefits of involving your general contractor early on in any construction project are multiple. By consulting with clients, their architects and interior designers, prior to the building phase, a building project has the greatest opportunity to ensure on-time and on-budget end results.

Detailed budget estimates evolve as the construction and interior details take shape. Clients, along with their architect and builder collaborate together to appropriately value engineer the project. Competitive bids are obtained from qualified sub-contractors. A realistic delivery schedule and budget is set prior to the start of construction. Local building and design review departments and various town regulatory authorities are consulted well before your project start date.

The plan is in place and now must come to life. Burke Harrington, owner, is the principal contact on all construction projects and will manage the job. A project manager may be assigned full time to an individual project to fulfill on-sight management and general job facilitation functions. Budgeting, scheduling, billing applications, quality control, day-to-day construction tasks, sub-contractor leveraging, and change orders make up the management responsibilities.

You will always be kept "in the know" during the construction phases of your project. Project obstacles are handled personally by Burke with a proactive management approach to ensure the construction timeline remains on track.

Sometimes a perfect ending eludes us, yet integrity prevails. Construction tasks and items can fall out of delivery dates and may require fine tuning as the project comes to an end. A punch list of less than complete items will be formulated and corrected just as soon as humanly possible.

If you have already decided to build your home with a general contractor you may want a person on site to act as your "eyes and ears."

If you need an experienced construction professional to manage the additions, renovations or custom building of your project, Burke can personally act as an owner representative to ensure all project goals, deadlines, and budgetary constraints are being met.

Our primary goal in business is delivering our clients the very best end results. We do this by listening to the personal needs and wants of individual clients and meeting their objectives. We balance design goals with construction costs in the most efficient and cost effective way possible.
